Charles A. Fitz-Gerald III passed away December 30, 2015 after a battle with lung cancer. Following his graduation from Dartmouth he joined the U.S. Navy and trained as an aviator in Pensacola, Florida then spent most of his active duty stationed at China Lake, California and felt those years flying in the desert were the most exciting in his life.
Timothy Charles Rosenhan died unexpectedly October 24, 2015 in Twisp, Washington. Tim was helping clean up the remains of a friend’s home damaged by a summer forest fire and was working with a chain saw when he collapsed while on a water break. Following his Dartmouth graduation in Engineering he joined the Marines where he learned to fly fighter jets. Katz, Jeffry Allen MD, age 68, passed away in the arms of his wife of 42 years, Carole on August 6, 2015 with his sons, David (Naomi) and Jeremy (Anna). He valiantly fought 4 different cancers in his lifetime.
Bob Lundquist passed away Sunday night, February 8, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, five children and stepchildren, and eight grandchildren. Bob was, of course, one of our best-known classmates, in part, because of his incredible musical talent and booming personality. Some of our best reunion memories are standing around the piano forgetting the lyrics to old rock ’n’ roll songs as Lunk entertained us until the wee hours. How many of us just have to think of Lunk whenever we hear Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On?
Jon Stuart Swenson ’69 passed away in his sleep at home on January 6, 2015. He was born to Olaf and Grace Swenson in Minneapolis on March 20, 1947. Hockey was his sport, and he continued to play at Dartmouth. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1969. He moved to Portland, Oregon, and was affiliated with KGW, where he had a radio show and made lifelong friends. He then formed a marketing company and made more friends. He married Ann Wilkerson in 1972, and their daughter, Dana, was the light of their lives. Ann and Jon divorced in 1984 and he moved to Seattle.
