Dear ’69 Classmates,
Has your life been lived your way? Triumphs and tragedies? Fortunes and reversals of fortunes? Love found and love lost? What part did serendipity play? Roads taken and not taken? Who or what changed your lives forever? Let’s share our stories.
We can, you know. In 2019, there will occur two momentous and very personal events.
The following obituary appeared in the San Jose Mercury News, and was slightly revised by Dick’s wife, Sally.
“A gentle man who loved his family, friends, life and work, Richard Osberg died of brain cancer on October 17, 2007.
Homecoming was a tremendous success. We had a total of 32 attendees, including 23 classmates. Thanks to Rick and Paul for making arrangments.
On Friday afternoon a small group (Dudley Kay, David Prentice, Jim Staros, Henry Allen, Paul Tuhus) met to work on The Book for our 50th reunion.
As part of our Class Connections effort during this year's Homecoming weekend, classmate Bill Stableford teamed up with some current '19s who are part of the Dartmouth Basketball Program. Shown in the photo below are:

Roy Hitchings sends a photo of a gathering of '69s in his home town of Camden, Maine, with this comment:
The photo was last summer and the 69ers are from left to right: Peter Imber, Clark Doran, Roy Hitchings, George Cook and Allen Petersen. Allen was visiting but the other 4 have homes here in this beautiful part of the world. Roy
Homecoming Weekend: October 6-7, 2017
Planning is in the early stages, but:
Seven of your Class officers attended the September 15th-16th Class Officers Weekend in Hanover. In addition to the usual college-centric events, COW provides an opportunity to meet with our officer counterparts from other classes, discuss issues and share ideas. We also had an excellent lunch session for the seven of use, where we talked about plans for Homecoming, The Book, Reunion50, and our Class gift.
Thanks to our own Allen Denison, there was a hugely successful gathering of '69s and friends in the Porland, Oregon region this summer.
