Dear classmates,
As our Class of 1969 representative on the Dartmouth Alumni Council, I’m again reaching out to ask for your input. The Alumni Council, which represents all classes, clubs, affiliated groups and various graduate schools, is YOUR Dartmouth eyes and ears. It’s here to help keep you informed about Dartmouth today, as well as to, hopefully, inspire engagement and share the views of Dartmouth’s alumni with the College’s leadership.

A rememberance published February 5, 2023 in the My Edmonds News by a long time colleague.
Veteran journalist Bob Throndsen died unexpectedly at his Edmonds home Saturday, Feb. 4. He was 75 years old.
I met Bob for the first time in late February 2020, just before the COVID pandemic took hold. He expressed an interest in writing for My Edmonds News and I was thrilled to welcome such an experienced journalist to our team.
Please join us on Sunday, February 26 at 3 pm Eastern Time (US), for a tour of Julie Mathias’s art studio in Chicago, led by, of course, Julie herself. Julie is the third Mathias to be the guest of a Casual Conversation. Her husband, classmate and former Class President John Mathias, spoke to us about his pro bono legal work on behalf of individuals who faced the possibility of the death penalty. Their daughter Alice Mathias spent time with us discussing her career in the entertainment industry as producer and director.
