PANTON — Michael Oscar Hermann died on Wednesday, April 18, with his devoted family at his side following a brief and valiant struggle with intestinal cancer diagnosed in July of 2011. Michael was a beautiful man, inside and out, and deeply cherished by his family and friends. He lived well and he died with dignity and grace, teaching new lessons about life, love, and compassion. He was a youthful 65 years of age.
Ron Neal, aged 63, died on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale Arizona, owing to complications arising from congestive heart failure.
Mr. Neal, the son of Antoinette Shrimpton Neal and Dr. Herman J. Neal, was born on April 1, 1948, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

David Clark Jacobsen ’69, M.D., Needham, Mass., died on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012, succumbing to complications of treatments for esophageal cancer first diagnosed in 1996. Dave is survived by his wife Gabriela and sons Martin, Matias, Christopher and Brian as well as his mother Jacqueline, brothers Ken ’71 and Garry ’75 and his sister Mardi. Dave graduated from Dartmouth Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. While at the College he was a member of the swim team, Alpha Theta and Casque & Gauntlet.
