    Richard (Dick) Neuhoff passed away on March 21, 2018, in Hartford, Connecticut. Though he was born in Elmira, New York, he spent most of his childhood in Durham, New Hampshire. After graduating from Phillips Exeter Academy, he attended Dartmouth College. Following his graduation from Dartmouth in 1969, Richard went on to Stanford Law School. He began his legal career as a criminal defense trial attorney at the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s Office in San Jose, California.

    William L. Selden, a businessman, philanthropist, sportsman, dog lover, innate comedian, husband, father and grandfather, died on February 5, following injuries sustained in a skiing accident. He was 70. Bill lived an incredibly full life that brought him around the globe in the pursuit of many passions and rewarded him with a trove of great friends and stories.

    John Godfrey Cook Jr, age 70, of Appleton, passed away on May 24th 2017. His last day was spent in Costa Rica, his favorite place. John was born on January 14th, 1947, in Park Forest, IL, to parents John Godfrey Cook Sr and Phyllis Shaffer. He attended Crystal Lake High School. He was a proud graduate of Dartmouth College and obtained his MBA at Loyola University in Chicago.

    David Burwell, the co-founder and first president of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a Washington-based organization that has led nationwide efforts to convert thousands of miles of unused railroad corridors to trails and parklands, died Feb. 1 at his home in Bethesda, Md. He was 69.

    Donald Carl Pogue of Guilford, CT, died peacefully in his sleep on October 26, 2016. Born May 24, 1947 in Macomb, Illinois, he graduated from Dartmouth College in 1969 and Yale Law School in 1973. He worked as a labor lawyer in Connecticut and proudly represented labor unions for many years before serving as the Connecticut Commissioner of Hospitals and Healthcare and then as a Judge in the CT Superior Court. In 1995 he was appointed as a Judge for the US Court of International Trade where he served as Chief Judge from 2010-2014 and assumed senior status in 2014.
