"Great reunion!
In our panel discussion about Enriching the Years Ahead, I used some images including the one attached. This image helped start me on the path to becoming a historian. It is a painting of Richard Hovey, who wrote Dartmouth’s alma mater. He spent time with his friend the artist (Thomas Buford Meteyard) here in Scituate near where I live. The painting is now owned by Dartmouth College.
If anyone wants to learn more about Scituate and its history, contact me or visit my simple website at http://thirdcliffdevelopment.webs.com.
Thanks to Jim Staros for organizing the panel discussion, and to my fellow panelists Mark Bankoff and Allen Denison. I hope Mark posts some of those great photos he showed us.
Best,
Lyle Nyberg"
