A note about Reunion events from Dave Agan

Last month, I wrote a note about sexual assault and old Dartmouth culture.  I said I would wear a teal arm band at 2019 Commencement to show my support for current and future changes to prevent sexual assault and harassment at Dartmouth.  The changes are beginning as the College’s Campus Climate and Culture initiative and through community, student, and faculty  efforts.

On a snowy-sleety-rainy Tuesday in April, several of us had dinner with a group of '19s in the Tom Dent cabin. What an awesome group of students and what a terrific class for our Connections program. The questions they ask and the comments they make have been wonderful over the last four years.

McNair, Robert "Mac" Malcolm Jr. (April 1, 2019)

Robert Malcolm "Mac",Jr., Age 72, of Newtown Square, died April 1st 2019 after a short illness.

Robert was born on March 2nd, 1947 in Tarboro, North Carolina To Elizabeth Edwards and Robert McNair. After graduating from Friends' Select School in 1965, he went on to graduate from Dartmouth College in 1969. He served as a law clerk in the U.S. Army from 1969 - 1971. He then attended Stanford University, where he secured his J.D. in 1974. Robert married Sally Stephenson on May 12th, 1979, and they raised two daughters Sarah and Catherine.

Pre-Reunion Hiking Opportunities

As part of their Fiftieth Reunion activities, some classmates will enjoy ‘pre-Reunion’ hiking in the Hanover area. There are many options. Some are listed below, starting with some easy and small excursions and ending with Moosilauke and the Ravine Lodge. The Class is not organizing pre-Reunion hikes, but based on the early response, a number of classmates are planning to be there early and hike.
