Not long after moving into our Sun City Hilton Head home in Bluffton, SC, we welcomed Steve and Jo Larson as our first guests. Gracious pilgrims that they are, they brought a large bag filled to over-flowing with high-end people treats, which went well with our craft beer and Steve's scotch. We taught them to play pickleball, toured River Street in Savannah, hit the beach area on Hilton Head Island, and lined up an environmental kayak adventure outside of Beaufort, which was followed by a sumptuous seafood lunch overlooking the water. Ever the wanderers, they were on their way to Amelia Island near my hometown of Jacksonville to seek a new home near grandkids. They stayed a perfect three days and needed hardly any prodding to get them back on the road. WONDERFUL folks are the Larsons, and we would be happy to entertain other classmates (provided they continue the tradition of toting high-end snacks in with them. Sorry, no Trumpers.
