Timothy Charles Rosenhan died unexpectedly October 24, 2015 in Twisp, Washington. Tim was helping clean up the remains of a friend’s home damaged by a summer forest fire and was working with a chain saw when he collapsed while on a water break. Following his Dartmouth graduation in Engineering he joined the Marines where he learned to fly fighter jets. He was an F-4 Phantom flight instructor for the Corps and that experience led him to work as an airport planner with Reid Middleton, Inc. of Seattle. One of his projects was to revamp the Friday Harbor, Washington runway and terminal. Tim later earned a Master’s degree in architecture from the University of Oregon and returned to Washington’s Skagit Valley. It was there his love of kayaking brought about the founding of Innova Kayaking with his business partner Paul Neutz. With Paul’s Czech Republic connections they introduced the Czech built high end inflatable touring kayaks to North America in the early 90’s. Friends in the industry remembered Tim as being passionate about getting people on the water in an affordable, high quality European-made craft.

Tim was also an avid sailor and scuba diver, cruising the waters of the San Juan and Gulf Islands and the Puget Sound with his family and friends.

While at Dartmouth Tim was a member of Phi Gamma Delta and participated in many student workshops.

He is survived by his lifetime partner Cheryl Willis as well as many family members.
