Susannah Heschel is the Chair of the Jewish Studies Program and Endowed Chair holder at Dartmouth. She is among the leading scholars and authors active today. She has won the National Jewish Book Award. She holds numerous Honorary Doctorates from institutions In Germany, Canada, and the USA. She currently has a Guggenheim Fellowship. She also just so happens to be the daughter of Abraham Joshua Heschel.
