Clifford W. Mills, Jr., died in Jacksonville, Florida on August 16, 2015. He was born in Connecticut in 1947, obtained his B.A. from Dartmouth College (the infamous class of 1969), and his Master's from Boston University. His career at John Wiley & Sons, Publishers, spanned over 35 years; he was an editor of many diverse disciplines, a publisher for the sciences, and, in his later years, a freelance project manager. He moved from Westport, Connecticut to New Hampshire to raise his son in the magical town of Meriden, where he and his wife Rosemary lived for 25 years. After his son graduated from Colgate, the family moved to Jacksonville, where Cliff embarked on his second career as a college professor and writer of young adult books. His unfailing good humor and kind heart will be sorely missed by all who met and knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife, his beloved son Matthew (and his wife Shea), his dear sisters and brother, Letha Mills, Marilyn Morrison, and Richard Mills and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Nancy. A memorial service in New Hampshire will be held at a later date. His favorite charity was UNICEF and in his memory the family suggests that you read a good book, see a movie, and enjoy a decadent dessert.
